The Economics Association of Zambia made First Republican President Dr Kenneth Kaunda a long life member of the Association.
The honour is in recognition of the effort Dr Kaunda made in promoting peace at home and abroad during his 27-year rule.
This was made during the recently paid Courtesy call by EAZ board members and Secretariat staff at KK's residence.
EAZ President Dr Lubinda Haabazoka praised KK's Economic policies such as the creation of the Industrial development corporation ( Indeco ) and other Parastatal companies that were the engine of the economy.
Dr Haabazoka described the former President as a hero who is respected both at home and Internationally.
Dr Haabazoka said KK's policies if free education has benefitted many Zambians to acquire free education.
The long life membership given to KK means that the former President will be free to attend all EAZ functions.
The EAZ is one if the oldest Association which acts as a think tank in promoting sound Economic policies in the Country.
