The Economics Association of Zambia yesterday on 5th March 2018 met with ZANACO’s top management to discuss among other issues developments in the Zambian banking sector.
The EAZ team was met at the ZANACO Headquarters by the Chief Executive Officer Mr Henk Mulder and Chief Commercial Officer Mr Lishala Situmbeko.
The Economics Association of Zambia was represented by its President Dr Lubinda Haabazoka, Vice President Dr Austin Mwange, National Secretary Mr Mutisunge Zulu and Executive Director Ms Miriam Nachilima.
The meeting took place ahead of the July 2019 National Economic Summit to be graced by His Excellency The Zambian Republican President Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
ZANACO remains the largest bank in Zambia and an important player in the Zambian banking system. The ZANACO CEO alongside other CEOs from Larfarge, Mahogany Airlines, Barclays Barclays Bank, Indo Zambia Bank, Zambia Breweries, ZESCO, ZRA among others will keynote speak at the conference.
The Summit will also be graced by atleast one foreign Head of State and two former Presidents.
Dubbed the Zambian Davos, the Summit will bring together Academia, Business and policy makers to discuss issues such as regional trade, national economic development within the framework of Economic Diplomacy.
The Summit will also see companies showcasing their products at the Summit. Investors from South Africa, Germany, Kenya and India are expected to attend the event led by our High Commissioners in those countries.
Universities participating at the summit include Havard University, London Business School, University of Johannesburg, University of Zambia, Copperbelt University, ZCAS among others.
The Summit is being organized in conjunction with the DII Conference, the Institute of Scientific Communications from Russia and ZIPAR among others.
The Summit will also be attended by diplomats resident in Zambia.
